I think this is working the other way around; the same Dems/libs that claim there is no inflation (so they don’t have to adjust entitlements) know that very real inflation has completely destroyed any motivation to work for the “old” minimum wage (which doesn’t buy much anymore). To lure people back into the workforce, they have to leave them with more than the same basic sustenance the government will give them for just sitting on their arses.
The price increases that are the inevitable result of minimum wages will be ON TOP OF the price increases workers have already seen.
