Those titles are contrary to all evidence.
What it showed was that some gay couples can do a good job of raising children (and some mom and pop families don’t.) That we already knew. Occasional examples do not disprove the general rule.
It didn’t even prove that. It only proved that a self-select set of gay couples SAY they do a good job of raising children.
I recommend everyone buy and read this excellent book written in the 1950’s on statistics:
