In a press conference in Dallas on Wednesday, President Obama responded to critics who noted he was refusing to visit the border in a time of crisis. "This isn't theater," the President said, before going further and saying "I'm not interested in photo ops."
"Not interested in photo ops." Really, President Barack Obama said that.
Needless to say, commentators noted the absolute absurdity of that statement - it would be hilarious if the crisis weren't so serious.
A hashtag was spawned on Twitter as people noted the obsession that this White House has seemed to have with photo ops:

Many of those photos are instantly recognizable for the craven politicking that President Obama has engaged in, time and again, with regard to "photo ops."
The Obama White House, as has been noted, is absolutely obsessed with the management of its own image. They've gone to extraordinary lengths, including banning independent photographers from the White House, in order to control President Obama's portrayal in the media. Dylan Byers noted that even the mainstream media has become tired of the lockdown:
The White House Correspondents Association and several leading media outlets have sent a letter to the White House protesting its policy of banning photographers from covering the president at certain events.
"As surely as if they were placing a hand over a journalists camera lens, officials in this administration are blocking the public from having an independent view of important functions of the Executive Branch of government," the WHCA board wrote in the letter delivered to the White House press office.
yeah,right.....This man loves the camera. It feeds into his ego. what a lying sack of crap.
And Rick Perry should have done the same thing, no photo ops with King Berry. Knucklehead.
The fund raiser in chief shown on NBC local this morning playing pool. Hit hit the yellow ball and was so intently watching its advance to the center pocket just then the cue ball scratched in the corner pocket. Game over Obama it was just pool but watching your situational awareness on this was priceless.
So then why are they and he really afraid of pictures of these kids???? Is it possible that they are not who and what they say they are???
The alternative headline was “Obama Engages in Useless Border Photo-Op” in case he did decide to go.
president selfie doesn’t want to take one in front of a group of tattooed gangbangers at one of his illegal immigrant shelters?
He didn’t see them so he can’t know how bad things are.
Plausible deniability.
Narcissists love cameras. Especially selfies. Present ONationalNightmre lies again.
The Democrat media crucified Bush for flying over Katrina, a natural disaster, at 32,000 feet. Obama is staying 500 miles away from his unnatural disaster at the Obama Camps. Where is the media outrage? .crickets ..
The Coyote in Chief loves the open boarder.
Obama believes that the end justifies the means. That’s one of the reasons why he lies so much.
The solution here is quite simple:
They say the crisis here is that these kids coming across the border need medical help — so give it to them — in their home countries:
Fly them back to Honduras where Doctors Without Borders will set up a clinic and treat them.
Even MSDNC this morning showed some previous photo-ops he’s has done in the past. One of him at a Mexican Border crossing station.
He’s interested in selfies...just not photo ops.
This is 100 times worse than Katrina. Then, it was “an act of God” Bush had to deal with. Now, Obama must deal with an act (or the inaction) of a faux president.
As has often been said, you can’t fix stupid...That’s why no movement on (or, in this case to) the border situation.

Reporting from El Paso President Obama visited the southern border to push for an overhaul of the immigration system, part of a renewed effort to shore up his standing among Latino voters and paint Republicans as hostile to a minority group whose force in U.S. politics is growing.
Chances of passing an immigration bill are considered to be low, but the White House is taking high-visibility steps to show it is not abandoning a goal that has its roots in the 2008 campaign.
Liberals are nothing but hypocrites
