Oh, I see, we just aren’t nuanced enough to understand the GOP-e, is that it? If you’ve been paying attention you might realize that the ONE message Boehner & crew have been sending is that conservatives can kiss their butts. But if you like that, feel free to keep defending their utter abandonment of their responsibilities. I’m sure you’ll be a vocal addition to the “RINO Can Win” choir as we get closer to November.

Not running. I do contribute. Apparently one has to run or contribute to be critical? I would think that just being on FR would indicate an interest in politics and the condition of our country.

Heh! I raise cattle, and it is far easier to lead them than to push them.

Much of the fault lies within the system itself, and the spoils that leadership passes out to ensure loyalty. It takes a truly principled person to say “No” to rank bribery, and the process of elections and the attention it brings causes most decent people to decide against such an ordeal. This leaves the field open to grifters and parasites, like we have now...

Obama is a druggie from his youth.

Obama made transport deals with the Mexican and Honduras Drug Cartels to flood the US/Mexico Border with human trafficking (children), and thus allow the Mexican Drug Cartels to invade all major cities in the US, with no fear of detection.

Since Speaker Boehner has pledged not to Impeach Obama, Obama is free to do anything he wants to with NO fear of punishment.

Faith-based organizations typically will do anything to help “the Children” and are thus easy targets to enable the Feds to humanely dispose of the Drug Cartels’ human trafficking.

Since the destruction of America is Obama’s stated goal, all Obama needs now is another blank check from Controller of the Purse, Speaker “Blank Check” Boehner.

FORWARD!

Here is another nuanced attempt to describe Republican (specifically Boehner) behavior:

http://pjmedia.com/richardfernandez/2014/07/10/the-innermost-doll-of-failure/

What Wretchard’s essay has in common with that of Whittle’s commentary is that they both try to explain the behavior of Republicans in relation to exposure to attack and the accompanying fear. Not all of those commenting on Wretchard’s essay are in agreement, but just about all of them I have read are thoughtful and respectful. Most of the posts there go well beyond a few worn out clichés like “yawn” or “kabuki theater,” or “wake me up when . . . .”

I went back over my earlier post to see how I might have given the impression that I approve of Boehner and his behavior. I think I was going little further than trying to describe and trying to understand what is happening.

Unfortunately the only “wolf pack” we have right now is the House and Boehner happens to be the not so alpha-male leader (what an understatement). Palin isn’t even part of the pack and realistically has no chance of every being the speaker of the house. However, I approve of what she is doing because it encourages some of the wannabe speakers who are ready to pounce on Boehner as soon as they have a real chance. Maybe Wretchard is right in surmising that Boehner senses blood and is shifting closer to the prey. In any event, Wretchard is describing the behavior, not defending it. That is my position as well. Let’s see whether the prey can be brought down first, and then later displace the pack leader.

I notice that in the Senate even Cruz, clearly a fighter and a favorite at FR, has shied away from outright calling for impeachment of Obama:

http://hotair.com/archives/2014/07/09/ted-cruz-declines-to-follow-palins-lead-in-calling-for-obamas-impeachment/

What explains his behavior? Allahpundit seems to think it is to keep Republicans from more internal fighting right now. Maybe Allahpundit is right, maybe not, but we ought to be looking beyond the superficial and trying to understand what is going on. Maybe Cruz fears a party split, or maybe something else. Maybe we should start to denounce Cruz as a RINO too. That will really help, won’t it?

Further, I would suggest that you have no way of knowing whether or not I have been paying attention. My goal, and the goal of many others, is to restore constitutionally limited government so that our God given rights and liberties can be protected. There can be a spirited debate on how best to achieve that goal, but my attention is focused on that restoration. I trust that you have a similar goal as well.
