Salem officials declared Wednesday they will end a contract allowing Gordon College to use the city-owned Old Town Hall because of the Christian schools opposition to expected federal hiring protection for gays and lesbians.
Mayor Kimberley Driscoll, who also cited the colleges longstanding policies prohibiting gay activities among students, said Gordons policies violate a city ordinance prohibiting Salem from contracting with entities that discriminate.
But she said it would be even more troubling to have the city do business with an institution that enables, and now advocates for, discrimination against the [lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender] community...
The colleges website lists policies for students, faculty, and staff that ban them from engaging in homosexual practice, on or off campus. The standards also forbid sex outside marriage, drunkenness, blasphemy, profanity, theft, and dishonesty.
However, this is Massachusetts, the first state of the United States of Sodom, one of the 4 least religious states, where what the Bible and even the Constitution says is not the supreme authority.
But its history is different: MASS GENERAL LAWS
And the second classing of Christians continues
Marginalization of Christians marches on.
“The colleges website lists policies for students, faculty, and staff that ban them from engaging in homosexual practice, on or off campus. “
Sounds like a very sound and rational policy to prohibit students and employees from engaging from certain behaviors while on or off the job.
For example, some employers prohibit employees from smoking even when they are not at work and the liberals love that dictate of their employer.
Just proves that liberals are hypocrites.
Second class? More like fourth class.
These battles have to be fought over and over, especially if the outcome is a slap in the wrist.
I just don’t understand why our side doesn’t see that an enormous financial settlement would be good for everyone.
If they did this to Muslims, the SPLC, U.S. attorney general’s office, CAIR, pResident Obumagumbe would be crapping bricks ... know what I mean, jelly bean?
I thought this was about Salem Radio and their website, Town Hall .com
So, discrimination is justified by other “discrimination?” How hypocritical can it get?!
Second? Who is third? But the church began following the Stone that the builders rejected, and in a society that makes America and her leaders look mild. Such faith is what we need.
One possible answer: government should be minimalist. In this case, almost everything would be based on the consent of those involved (assuming legal age and so forth).
Another possible answer: government not discriminant in access to government facilities, programs, etc., for any activity that is not directly illegal. This is the Lamb’s Chapel case.
OTHERWISE: we’re in a totalitarian country, where the government says you have no freedoms at all because you step on government’s sidewalks and anybody who steps on a government sidewalk cannot do X and/or must do Y.
BTW: this decision by the city of Salem is in keeping with the new slogan of the Democratic Party: there is no room in SALEM (or wherever) for people who disagree with us on this issue.
And just 2 towns away they are FORCING the schools to admit adult illegals who claim they are high school age.

This entire thing is complete, utter madness.

Locked away in the Salem, Massachusetts, mayor's office is Mayor Kimberly Driscoll. It is the midnight hour aka the witching hour (she should pardon the expression). OK. she muses. Right now it's just Mayor Driscoll but just you wait and see: Member of Congress Driscoll, Governor Driscoll; Senator Driscoll; President Driscoll??? Time to go home! Where, she wonders, is my broom? The sky is the limit, if any! Maybe she will bake some cookies. Nothin' says lovin' like something from the coven!
Which requires people to be controlled from within so they need not be controlled from without. Unless you want anarchy.
With the spiritual decline, and the family, and loss of character, the gov. grows, and those who govern the government, the people, lack the will and wisdom to change it.
Excess is not the same as calling evil good, and good evil. The witches are now more in control.
Witchcraft is evil, though the unjust persecution of many resulting from the hysteria concerning it was wrong and repented from.
In contrast is that of Salem calling homosexual relations good and making this immorality a right, and penalizing those who simply oppose it, and who refuse to salute the flag of Sodom.
You seem to be making some distinctions which I don’t understand, but that’s OK.
