DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) — As the numbers of unaccompanied minors showing up to the Texas-Mexico border continues to rise, 14-year old Silvia Marroquin of El Salvador and her family are opening up about the teens journey here.

Marroquin was 13-years old when she left her hometown of Usulutan, El Salvador last year. It’s a small town ripped apart by street gang violence. Her father who had already been living in Dallas illegally paid a human smuggler $4,500 to bring his daughter here.

Guided by the smuggler the teen tells CBS 11 she and another group of children were brought by land through 3 countries ultimately making it to the U.S.- Mexico border in South Texas. She tells us the man her family had paid and trusted to bring her here safely had abused her, and mistreated her along the nearly 5,300 mile journey.

Just like Benghazi...

Reporters can find the illegals, but the federal government can’t.

Find the family, process the family, and deport them.

Don’t pull on my heart strings. Enforce the law.

Pray tell, where did this poor illegal alien family get the $4,500 to pay the coyote to smuggle the 14-year old girl into the country from El Salvador? Did daddy get a family reunion loan from his local MS-13 street gang loan shark? What happens if he can't pay it back?

My ancestors walked to Texas from the east coast, it was hard........ and then they died ..........all along the way.

Why didn’t this guy become an American citizen and then get a visa for his daughter so she could get on a plane and fly here safely? He spent thousands of dollars and she had a terrible experience that wasn’t necessary.

Has anyone else noticed the influx of anti-white hatred and racial invective now being tossed around in the comment sections of some news stories about the border problems by some people with Hispanic surnames.
....and NO! I'm not anti-Hispanic (my wife is Columbian and has noticed this also)but the last thing we need is to flood this country with another underclass of people who will instinctively look to blame every problem on whites and scream "discrimination" whenever things don't go their way.
The ironic thing about some of these posts is the tendency to blame not just whites but America itself for these problems.

I wonder if I can make it across the Canadian border.

Although not perfect they seem to be run by a more sane government.

Who cares? Cry me a river. Is this the old Queen for a Day show where everyone tries to top the other in stories of personal disaster? Send these illegals out of this country and back to their hellholes. Who cares?

This will be nothing compared to our desperation to send them back home once the EBT gravy train crashes and we can’t borrow fifty cents of every dollar the Federal Gove spends

Here’s a perfect project for Beck. Air conditioned fleet of buses , gourmet meals on board straight from our southern border to our northern border. Sneak the transients across underground railroad style. Oh, yeah, soccer ball and Teddy bear for everybody. How long would it be before the FBI had a sting going to apprehend the perpetrators and charge them with human trafficing?
