The concealed carry permit carrier should have made sure to kill him. Now he’ll be supported at considerable public cost all the time he is in jail/prison and, later, all his life as a result of his “workplace” disability.

..........................................................

I don't see what difference it makes. the bum was stealing before he got shot and supplemented that income with welfare no doubt.

“I know what you’re thinking, punk. You’re thinking ‘did he fire six shots or only five?’ Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow you head clean off, you’ve gotta ask yourself a question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?”

Too bad she didn’t kill him outright. Now the taxpayer will be saddled with paying for his care.

The upside is that the little scum is going to regret the hijacking every day for the rest of his life. With any luck he won't even be able to go to the bathroom without help.

Small solace, but take what we can.

Do it like the cops do it. Shoot until you are out of ammo.

As long as the attacker is still standing, with a gun in his hand, he's a legitimate target. Shoot until he's down.
