On CNNs State of the Union this morning ORourke said he wants to give them asylum before they even leave their country.
So if were truly going to address this problem were going to have to address it here. Why not have State department and DHS down in those countries processing potential refugees and applicants for asylum on the ground so they dont have to come through Mexico.
And allow half the country to come to America? What an idiot.
Just what we need, another 20 million immigrants to house, clothe, feed and put on Obamacare.
What exactly are they trying to escape if they are free enough to go to a US consulate to ask for asylum?
BE a good time to pick up women ,, like the secret service did...did for the night in a swank hotel
Hell why not just make every human on the face of the earth a citizen and give them the right to vote and world wide welfare, because it’s not fair to stop with 20 million Central Americans!
Nothing like laying out a freshly dusted welcome mat.
What a fool.
They should be quarantined and medically treated before they leave the border.. They are bringing in deadly diseases!!
And by “process” he means “register as DemocRATS”.
how many more illegals does he want, fcol? And how does it benefit the USA if the illegal earnings of the illegals (or the cash benefits of welfare) are sent back to their countries as ‘remittance’ - the increased amounts of which increases violence, here and there, in a vicious circle as everyone grubs for cash? and illegals here expect even more social services from this country’s citizens, to make up for the cash they’re having to send to another country?
Approximately one third of [El Salvadors] population
emigrated, primarily to the United States, and remittances became the mainstay of the Salvadoran economy...
Migration to the United States
El Salvador: emigrated inhabitants 2.9 million
Guatemala: emigrated inhabitants 1.5 million
Honduras: emigrated inhabitants 1.1 million

This Dem Traitor is FAR more likely to get what he wants than the American people are.
You mean make them go to the embassy and ask for permission to come to the US?
Isn’t that what people are supposed to do?
Wait a minute....
If they are “processed” in C A then they shouldn’t be coming here at all.
There's a germ of a good idea in there. Let's just declare the whole world the U.S. and no one has to go anywhere to be an American. Then their first contacts with their new FedMob overlords can be a)the census bureau to get their names and addresses and b)the IRS to send them tax forms to complete by next April 7th or go to jail.
This is the closest I could come up with for the actual story as presented from a conservative perspective . . .
MIGRANTS: MEXICO AND GUATEMALA LAUNCH SOUTH FRONTIER Economy and Politics
The South Frontier Program launched by Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and his Guatemalan counterpart Otto Pérez Molina aims to protect and safeguard the human rights of migrants entering and transiting through Mexico.
The initiative also foresees the establishment of five Border transit centres of integral attention by the Mexican government for safe assistance to unaccompanied migrant youths pending definition of their status.
According to the two Presidents, intelligence services will also be stepped up in the border area in a bid to render more efficient the fight against human traffickers, gangs that systematically attack both the immigrant population and residents of the region, said Peña Nieto.
Also Pérez Molina stressed that the program is an example of how to improve the treatment of migrants and relations between brother nations, in a regional context in which Mexico is accused of focusing only on its own migrants fleeing to the US, ignoring the impact of local criminality, often in complicity with government officials, on Central American migrants that cross into its territory.
In regard, after the accord with Guatemala, Peña Nieto announced contacts also with immigration authorities of Salvador and Honduras in the same aim of ensuring a safer and more orderly migration from Central America.
Mexicos President emphasized that we believe that the immigration phenomenon must be faced with a regional and humanitarian perspective, and with a shared responsibility. [FB/BO]

El Universal includes a video report by Natalia Gomez with edited segments of a taped interview of the ex-Prime Minister of Greece, Georgios A. Papandreou.
*****
Begs the question . . .Who is Papandreou and what and why would the ex-PM of Greece, have any interest in the invasion of the USA?
According to Wiki, Papandreou
In December 2003 European Voice shortlisted him for nomination of the Europeans of the Year award as "Diplomat of the Year",[5][6] naming him as "The Bridge-Builder" and quoting Le Monde that dubbed him the "architect of Greek-Turkish rapprochement".[7]
Transcript of the edited video interview:
It is absolutely necessary to sit down and cooperate and compromise to see how we can deal with the root causes but also how we can help these people because they are human beings. This is where we need to appeal to the United States that the question of migrants, for example, the question of child migrants should not become a football, a polarized game between the two parts.

[break]*****Natalia Gomez reports in SpanishPressures of people wanting to find freedom, jobs, security. One of the big issues of our times is the huge inequality. We have a huge concentration of wealth in the hands of a few people.
Just to say that one percent of the total population controls fifty percent of the global wealth is just one.
The sense that people want to find a better life.
I think that we need to appeal to the United States to look at this in a humane way and to - not to - push for repatration but reunification with the families is the basic goal.
We do need to respect borders. Borders are there to protect human beings, not to exclude human beings. So, yes, we do need to respect borders. We need to control borders. We need to control. But at the same time we also need to realize that we need to deal with the real problem of these people. They have a problem.
One suggestion is that work together in the region through cooperation. Not through blame. Not through creating new walls - people will find ways to move around it or create more suffering. We have to work together.
We have to work together so we can have a comprehensive policy to begin addressing the root problem, the transit and also the integration , the systematic integration of migrants into our societies in a positive way.
The money that goes to building walls on borders is huge. Rather than doing that, lets invest that in development, in aid, to find jobs, to help the social situation of the migrants.
*******Also, coincidentally Putin kicks off Latin America tour with Cuba stop
Oh ... wait ... been there, done that, got the pink slip! :(
