I grew up n a small town. If our parents did not know what kids did, others would have told them. To give you a hint on how small it was, a relative did paperwork for a divorce. Before she could get to her parents to tell them, someone beat her by telling them first.
The town where I grew up was the same way. I had grandparents and grandparents living in the same little town and they knew everybody.
