Well with the Malaysian aircraft probably shot down over Eastern Ukraine, it puts a whole new light on the possibility of the rebels having Buk-M1's. That SAM system has,
according to Deagel, a maximum range of 82,000 feet. More than enough for the rebels to shoot it down by accident, and rather likely given that the rebels have already been on an aircraft killing spree in Eastern Ukraine.
I do think it's rather unlikely that the Ukrainians shot it down, especially since the rebels don't even have any planes for them to shoot down, and with the rebels already having a track record of shooting down planes over there.
