For the 4th time today, NO, IT WASN’T LAUNCHED FROM RUSSIA...

It was launched, most likely, from a BUK-M1, a heavy AA AFV, one of four the rebels got when they overran the Heavy Anti-air regiment in Donetsk last month.

The video of the shootdown clearly shows the missile maneuvering above the plane, then coming down to strike it. It wasn’t flying at 6,500 meters, more like 4-6,000 FEET, as it was about to airdrop supplies to a cut-off and surrounded unit.
