Women stand to make history in West Virginia Senate race
Fox News ^ | July 14, 2014 | Carl Cameron

History will be made in West Virginia this year when Mountain State voters elect their first female U.S. senator.

They will choose between Republican Rep. Shelley Moore Capito and Secretary of State Natalie Tennant for the seat being vacated by Democratic incumbent Sen. Jay Rockefeller.

The GOP has targeted West Virginia as one of six Senate seats it needs to win to gain control of the Senate. The others include: Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Montana, North Carolina and South Carolina.

In this increasingly Red State, Tennant brought out a firebrand liberal, Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

Capito shot back with 2012 vice presidential nominee Sen. Paul Ryan, who came out swinging against his fellow surrogate.

“Elizabeth Warren is to the left of the left of the Democratic party,” Ryan said. “Elizabeth Warren is part of the war on coal.”

She may be a moderate but she’ll help take control from the Rats if she wins it.

And then give you exactly what the (D) would have. Lol. Good job. Vote for Capito! She has an (R)!

Women stand to make history

I'm really getting tired of that phrase. Especially since Odumbo, all it appears to mean is that the first (fill in the blank favored minority) has managed to win an election. That's what "history" has been reduced to these days.

We had a (R) controlled House, Senate and WH from 2000-2006. We got the "Patriot" Act. What makes you think things will be different this time around?

It may not be different but we damn sure know what we’ve got now with the Rat controlled Senate and the bastard that’s in the WH.

I’m disappointed that people still care whether a US Senator is male or female. I wants someone honest, responsible, and conservative, and I don’t care if my Senator looks more like Governor Sarah Palin or like Justice Clarence Thomas, as long as that Senator cares about following the Constitution as written.

Tennant looked the other way when some highly irregular actions took place involving the ballot boxes after an election. That was even after the issue was brought to her attention and she sent a representative to check it out. She’s running around sucking up to voters hoping her term as secretary of state will ingratiate her enough to get elected to the Senate.

In my book she’s scum.

Thanks for your post. I honestly didn’t know a thing about Tennant with me being in WA state but saw the opportunity to help take back the Senate if Capito wins it.
