A third of Americans think Congress should impeach President Barack Obama, polls released today show. Left-leaning publication the Huffington Post along with polling partner YouGov and right-leaning polling company Rasmussen Reports came up with roughly the same percent of Americans who think Congress should bring formal charges against the president in separate polls that were released this morning. The poll-takers also found that 68 and 58 percent of Republicans, respectively, think the president should be impeached.

MSM actually wants impeachment.
1. It’ll never get anywhere.
2. Obama gets to be the victim - the ONLY thing liberals know how to do.
They are desperate. Obama’s poll numbers are in the gutter and only a self-inflicted mess up from Republicans (like the MS race, for example) gives them any shot of winning.
Obviously they polled on the south side of the tracks. It has to be almost double in reality.
impeachment and removal from office, then life in prison.
I would guess 80% of the respondents don’t know the difference between being impeached, and being removed from office. So, when they are asked if Obama should be impeached, they substitute, “should he be removed from office.”
Well. Let’s git ‘er done.
Let’s roll.
I think that keeping up a set of publicly available Articles of Impeachment documents is well advised.
And on an Alabama chain gang keeping the grass short on the edge of the highway.
(Sigh)
Those were the good old days.
Unless that poll shows 100% of the Republicans and approximately 50% of the Democrats will CONVICT ... in the Senate ... this is going nowhere.
AND ... it doesn’t have to be “that poll” ... Just do your own polling and call every Senator and get your own count and see what those numbers are ... :-) ...
This is a waste of time.
The people who don’t seek impeachment are either on the low end of the Bell Curve, or they deserve to meet the same fate the Rosenbergs did.
This article low balls the number of Americans in favor of impeachment.
A staggering 37% of Independents favor Obama’s impeachment
An equally staggering 27% of all Non Republicans favor impeachment of Obama.
An amazing 68% of Republicans favor impeaching the President.
Republicans make up roughly 32% of the population so 68% of the the 32% of the population who are Republicans is roughly 22% of the Republican population favors impeachment.
Add this 22 % of the population who are Republicans favoring impeachment to the 27% of the non Republican population who also favor impeachment and you have, by the numbers given by the Math challenged stats quoted by the author of the article, not one third of the Americans favoring impeachment but instead 22% of Republican in favor of impeachment +27% of non Republicans in favor of impeachment which equals a staggering 49% of the population in favor of impeachment.
Given that we have 21% of the population who are “undecided” on the topic of impeachment (which is a pretty unusual position and not one to inspire confidence in the White House) then we have roughly 49% of Americans in favor of impeachment, 21% of Americans sitting on the fence undecided and waffling about whether or not the President of the United States should be impeached and only 30 % (less than one third) of the population opposed to the impeachment of the President of the United States.
Just WOW!!!!!
A close to 50% plurality favors the Impeachment of the President of the United Sates and a further 21% of the population is sitting on the fence before deciding one way or another on the issue.
This is after all the suppression of Obama scandals by the MSM and well ahead of the IRS and Benghazi investigations which are revving up and only a week or so into the exploding crisis in Iraq and on our Southern Border.
Sarah Palin may or may not be a bad judge of Impeachment, but she sure has common ground with almost half of the American people on the issue.
The scary thing for Obama is that impeachment, once an unthinkable possibly, is now an open topic of discussion that even a liberal poll shows 49% of Americans support.
I would love to see Obama impeached. But, only if he can be convicted. If this does not happen, then Obama will emerge from the impeachment proceeding stronger that he was going in. Recall Clinton. Even if the Republicans regain control of the Senate, Obama cannot be convicted and those who think otherwise are delusional.
The Left are baiting us in hopes that we will bring Articles of Impeachment. It is the only thing that could rescue Obama from the complete disaster that awaits the final two years of his Administration.
Impeachment is a political process, it has very little to with our television driven notion of the justice system. Obama will never appear as a witness in his trial and the Senate will never vote to convict. That means that Obama will emerge claiming that he has been vindicated, a point of view the will be amplified by the media. Hail the conquering hero and a pox on the evil Republicans.
It would be a disaster for conservatives.
How many are actual Americans?
