His evaluation was actually wrong, or at least largely wrong.

I don’t have to deal with inner city anything, but much of the anti-cop feeling in this country is due to the way that cops do their job. And it’s not just in the inner city.

We have militarized police forces who break down doors, shoot dogs kids and innocent adults. I suspect the average law abiding citizen is more likely to have a loaded gun pointed at them by a cop than by a criminal.

You make an interesting point. FR seems to indicate a rising tide of anti-cop sentiment even among those traditionally most likely to support LEOs.

Which makes me wonder if the tales of police brutality towards minorities many of us discounted were to a considerable extent true all along. Are the cops just starting to treat the rest of us the way they have always treated black people?

I don’t know the answer, but I think it’s a pretty important question.

Oh please, inner-city types have been referring to Police as “Pigs” since the 1960s.
