President Barack Obama will likely have to send National Guard troops to the southern U.S. border to assist Border Patrol agents with the influx of illegal immigrants crossing into the country, said Rep. Adam Kinzinger.
"At the end of the day, the president's probably, if he really wants to solve the border crisis, at least in the short term, is probably going to have to deploy National Guard soldiers to alleviate what the Border Patrol's having to do," the Illinois Republican told "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday.
Kinzinger said the Obama administration needs to ensure that the Department of Defense has "all of the resources it needs" to handle the border crisis, since cuts have been made to the military's budget. He said the military is already "carrying a share of this burden" because of the thousands of illegal immigrants who are being housed at bases.

No, to put down the protesters and local mayors trying to stop the dumping in their cities.
The damage has already been done, he got away with it, no one stopped him and the sky is the limit. Now, of course, he is home free, why not do a photop of sending the NG to the borders?
First of all, what would the NG do? What will it look like IF thousands of kids end up on the Mexican banks of the Rio Grande and many of them drowning? I believe the NG will be put there to change diapers.
But he’s more likely to put the NG on our neighborhood streets. We can only hope there is one Colonel Kurtz out there.
I have to wonder is Perry as dumb as he acts. He warned Obama. Like Obama didn’t know. Why can’t Perry simply say OUTRIGHT that Obama is trying to destroy the country?
Obama will pull a ‘Bush did it’.
GW sent 6000 NG to the border — just not all at one time. Groups of them rotated in and out after a few weeks.
While the NG were active, they were not allowed to carry arms — didn’t want them accidentally shooting themselves in the foot, etc. No, they were busy doing essential tasks: filing paperwork, washing BP vehicles, etc.
GW hoodwinked the conservatives. Obama will probably do likewise.
I agree, sending NG helps Obama several ways. Takes pressure off by showing he is “doing something”. NG will assist in escorting more illegals in. Further drain financial resources of military and border states.
I believe the ultimate goals are eventual amnesty for illegals, diluting American culture, trying to create a racial backlash against this protected group which can be used for further creation and tightening of laws upon the law abiding class.
It’s full-on vengeance-based societal vandalism. There’s no act or level of destruction this guy isn’t interested in.
Likely and doing are two different things. He hasn’t in the past 6 years, so why start now? Besides, he’s the one bringing them over.
BULL!
It is the GOVERNOR’s JOB to send HIS Nat’l Guard to the border!
That way the Guv can provide meaniful Rules of Engagement!
Obama will have them changing diapers...
Spend 45 seconds to watch this... it explains so much... (NOT for liberal trolls)

The man is obviously racist and doesn’t want black and brown people to emigrate to the US. /sarc
If he does send them, it will be with the same strategy used in the Gulf oil spill: Wait until irreparable damage is done, THEN pretend to do something about it, all while ensuring that things that will work are denied, thwarted, or otherwise not employed.
I thought the National Guard could also be deployed by the governor or the state.
You mean that after demanding all weapons earlier this year from states national guards units, he’s going to send them to the border? with beanbags?
Yep.
Thanks! I’ve seen some of his previous ones. Pretty dramatic.
That is an absolutely brilliant presentation.
I thought you would like it...
Glad you liked it..
Talk about a headline that isn't supported by the article content. Kinzinger said the Caliph would LIKELY have to use the Guard IF he wanted to restore order, which he clearly does not.
