A White House spokesman said Wednesday that there is an "ongoing law enforcement investigation" related to a recording released earlier in the day by a Republican congressman who alleged it showed improper fundraising activity by former U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis -- now a Los Angeles County supervisor-elect. The comment by White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest at a press briefing was the first public confirmation by the administration of the existence of such an investigation. Earnest noted that the investigation had been reported on in January. The Times first reported the federal investigation into Solis´ activities at that time,

All the ‘ongoing investigations by the White House’ will still be ‘ongoing’ at the end of Obama’s tenure. They cannot comment on anything that is ‘ongoing’. Their motto us ‘keep it ongoing until we leave’.

I wonder what the future historians will make of this tyrannical administration, and I wonder if the racist garbage which is unabated today will keep them from saying anything negative about it then.
That is assuming that there is still history to write about in the future, some decades hence.

Does that mean that Solis should step down from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors that she was just elected to?
Probably not. Stepping down is only for Republicans.
Solis' Wikipedia entry says this about her new seat on the LA County Board.
Later during January 2013, Solis confirmed her interest in the County Board of Supervisors race, saying "I'm going to take a look at it." In explaining why a former U.S. Representative and Cabinet member would be interested in a county-level body, analysts stated that the board is the most powerful county-level legislative body in the United States, and exercises some executive and quasi-judicial powers as well. It controls a workforce larger than the Labor Department's and its $26&nbps;billion budget is equivalent to that of an average U.S. state. Each member presiding over some two million constituents, three times that of Solis' old congressional district, and that it is quite possibly the fourth most powerful position in California politics, after Governor, U.S. Senator, and Mayor of Los Angeles. The supervisors have long been nicknamed "the five little kings".

Agree completely. Pardons all around, including Jarrett and Holder.
I hope the investigations are still ongoing at the END of Obama’s term. I hope there’s an end.
I’m sure Broom Hilda has a legal and legit loophole that permits her to do things Republicans would be jailed for.
Everyone knows from watching TV shows that if you first say this is “off the record” that you can’t be held responsibe for any crimes.
