At a time when Hamas continues to fire salvos of rockets into Israel while rejecting a ceasefire proposal, the United States has finalized a deal to provide the Palestinian terrorist group’s leading supporter, Qatar, with weaponry worth $11 billion.

The deal signed at the Pentagon Monday by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and his Qatari counterpart comes just months after a senior U.S. Treasury official in a speech deplored Qatar’s open support for Hamas, and covert funding for jihadists in Syria, including the al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra and the al-Qaeda offshoot the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS

...A little smaller than Connecticut, Qatar is located on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It has fewer than 300,000 citizens. The rest of its 2.1 million inhabitants are expatriates and foreign workers

on the bright side..at least...they’re not giving it away...

I could I suppose make some pithy comment about the backlash that would occur if the mainstream media picked this up..

chances are that wont happen....

I could take some small comfort in the possibility that the American People might find this somewhat repulsive and demand the deal be quashed...but fat chance.

We need Divine Intervention at this point.

More from article

...In a speech last March, the Treasury Department’s undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, David Cohen, said fundraisers in Qatar were collecting donations for extremists in Syria, including ISIS and al-Nusra.

“Press reports indicate that the Qatari government is also supporting extremist groups operating in Syria,” he said. “To say the least, this threatens to aggravate an already volatile situation.”

Don’t worry. Qatar can easily afford it.

I fear that may be what we're getting now. I suspect God isn't America's biggest fan.

Here is how it goes:

1. Big commission paid to local rep to secure the sale.
2. Local rep “shares” his commission with various levels of the ruling class.
3. The ruling class promises not to resell the arms to the bad guys.
4. The ruling class loses track of the weapons.
5. The weapons are sold at huge markups to the bad guys.
6. The ruling class members fly to Lindon to celebrate.
7. Go back to 1. And repeat indefinitely.
