There those judges and lawyers have very LITTLE respect for the voting population or citizens.

Yes, but judicial elections are incredibly difficult to research. They all run as NPA and never advertise or otherwise politic. I've seen people literally Christmas tree the ballot for the judges.
Barring a supremely idiotic decision, most judges get elected with little fanfare.
