It’s maybe not “laziness” so much as thoughtlessness - just not thinking about it as we have more important hills to conquer.
My wife’s pet peeve about me is that I don’t shut cabinet doors. She’s watched me in the kitchen, moving my head to dodge open cupboard doors and it never dawns on me to close them after I get what I need. I’m really trying, but I fail more than I succeed.
Personally, I think they are surrounded by a SEP field.
