Three more people in Colorado have been diagnosed with the plague after coming in contact with an infected dog whose owner contracted a life-threatening form of the disease, state health officials said on Friday.

In all, four people were infected with the disease from the same source, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said in a statement.

The good news is that if there are a lot of cases they will no longer be “rare cases of human plague”. See? Obama is solving the problem of those “rare cases of human plague” by importing more cases. He is a true genius!

The bacteria that causes plague occurs naturally in the western United States, primarily in California, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

That's a lie. I would expect no less from a federal agency. It ain't naturally occurring.

Here's the back story:

Plague first came to the United States in the 1850's. The rail companies were legally importing Chinese coolies to work on the transcontinental railway.

There was a small plague outbreak in San Fransisco's Chinatown district. An alert doctor spotted the outbreak almost immediately, and appealed to the city council to institute a quarantine and rat catching program.

The town fathers refused to believe there was plague in their fair city.

They screwed around long enough for it to infect the local ground squirrel population where there was no hope stopping it from spreading. Thanks to their inaction, now one can be exposed to bubonic plague anywhere in the western US.

Any parallels one wishes to draw with a more recent "gay plague" or flooding the country with disease infected children are left to the reader as an exercise.

Those who do not learn the lessons of the past...

Deuteronomy 28:20-22

Sounds good until one realizes the difference between Old and New Covenants---and puts things in context. Your entry is to those living under the Old Covenant and what is in store for them if they do not obey the Old Covenant rules they were living under. They asked for it (commandments and laws) and they got it.

Unfortunately many in our country are living under the Old Covenant. Thankfully we believers live under Psalm 91.

Beautiful and relevant through Jesus.

At the time, Jesus was not around to turn to for Salvation - God took it upon Himself to forgive/purify those He found worthy. Hence the comment about David being sin-free when he died, despite the deal with Uriah....

I take comfort in Psalms and other passages in the Old Covenant, but I stake my life and salvation entirely in the New Covenant which began upon the Resurrection of Christ.

Amen! Jesus is coming soon, so many are lost, and so few seem to care.
