Just love your sarcasm. And yet, there are people here on FR ( whom I assume are Kansans) that are apolectic that anyone is sullying “their beloved Pat.” As they say, we get the government we vote for, but it is surprising the abject loyalty to these old fossils. One poster said that “Kansas owed a debt of gratitude to Pat Roberts for staying on the job for all these years.” Are you kidding? He made the Reagan point that “life it tough, and it’s tougher if you are stupid.”
The only hope we have of getting rid of old farts like Roberts and Cochran is the fact that God DOES have term limits. “It’s appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)
