Bush’s fault. The USA is not very good at middle eastern politics, and should stay out. There was a good argument for backing Israel during the cold war when we needed a friendly client (though Lebanon would have been better). But now the cold war’s over and we no longer need to put up with the lies and manipulation. What we did to the Christians of Iraq was a crime.
Insomuch as Bush is liberal, he shares that blame. Along with his going along with liberals against Mubarak.

The sad truth is that these Iraqi Christians are facing these trials and tribulations because Saddam Hussein was far more effective at dealing with radical Muslims in Iraq than a jack@ss from Texas with an Ivy League education ever was.
