The USA and the Old British empire fit this criteria. IMHO we are Biblical Israel. The tiny nation in the middle east is Biblical Judah. Apply this theory to Bible prophesy and decide if this idea has merit. Hosea 5 is a good choice for a start.

At last the thing that's been implied throughout this entire thread has come out of the closet: Anglo/Euro-Israelism. America is the "chosen nation" and is governed by a "national 'gxd.'"

This "we are Israel" line has been trotted out by the Ethiopians, the Armenians, the Irish, and every other historically chrstian nation. It's nothing but nationalist supersessionism, plain and simple. Plus the implication is that the real Israel (the Jews) aren't Israel at all, but imposters of some kind. This is dangerous ground.

The Jews are the chosen, and some day soon, they are going to be magnificent. But in the period where they must learn, we are taking up the slack, sharing their tents and making a mess of things but it is our purpose to hold back the darkness for a little while. We are the sons of Japheth.

2Kings 17 NIV

18 So the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from his presence. Only the tribe of Judah was left, 19 and even Judah did not keep the commands of the Lord their God. They followed the practices Israel had introduced. 20 Therefore the Lord rejected all the people of Israel; he afflicted them and gave them into the hands of plunderers, until he thrust them from his presence.

21 When he tore Israel away from the house of David, they made Jeroboam son of Nebat their king. Jeroboam enticed Israel away from following the Lord and caused them to commit a great sin. 22 The Israelites persisted in all the sins of Jeroboam and did not turn away from them 23 until the Lord removed them from his presence, as he had warned through all his servants the prophets. So the people of Israel were taken from their homeland into exile in Assyria, and they are still there.

Israel consists of 10 tribes at this point in time. Israel has King Jeroboam of the tribe of Ephraim. Judah is the tribes of Benjamin, Judah and Levi. The "lost ten tribes" exist somewhere, and they are Israel. Judah, Benjamin and Levi are indeed descendants of Jacob, and therefore Israelites. But the Bible calls them Judah.

Wow, Zionist, I did not know and the idea that America is Israel is blasphemous to me. I am sooo sorry. Please forgive them, for they know not what they do.

I’ve had a headache all day (had to reformat my harddrive and it has taken 12 hours so far with updates and I have all my software in storage 9 hours away) but this, this is nation worship.

When I think of it, I pray towards Jerusalem, thinking about when the Messiah will reign and we will live in peace. I do not pray towards DC and I challenge anyone who thinks America will not be suffering the wrath of God due to the shedding of innocent blood allowed by said America to prove otherwise. Has America not legalized everything the God hates??? God had Israel invaded first, then Judah...

“However, the LORD did not turn from the fierceness of His great wrath with which His anger burned against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked Him. And the LORD said, “I will remove Judah also from My sight, as I have removed Israel. And I will cast off Jerusalem, this city which I have chosen, and the temple (house) of which I said, ‘My name shall be there’.”
“Surely at the command (mouth) of the LORD it came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, and also for the innocent blood which he shed, for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; AND THE LORD WOULD NOT FORGIVE.” (All caps mine) 2 Kings 23: 26 & 27 and 24: 3 & 4

If God did not forgive Israel and Judah, God will not forgive any nation that legalizes those things He hates and especially child sacrifice.
