W’s decision to go to war in Iraq is looking more and more foolish.

Saddam let Christians live in peace in Iraq. So did the king before him. And the Ottomans before him. And whatever empire before them.

For the first time in 1700 years there are no more Christians in Mosul. And all it cost was 1 trillion American dollars and 4,500 American lives.

A damn shame

With all the money we spend on intelligence and the state department, you would think Bush's advisers would have told him Saddam is running Iraq as sanely as one can given what he has to govern. Taking out Saddam is like pulling the finger out of the dyke. We need a small government. We need common sense leadership.
