21.07.14-139 day prayer Marathon. Donets-city of joy and roses, turns into a city of sorrow and tears.

Bus station "South" is closed, railway station works, but only intermittently, the market partially destroyed after the shelling, in Petrovsky district Admin town fighting, more difficult to leave the city.

Today all day were evacuating the people, do not know how many calls were made, negotiation, listening to hysteria and outspoken accusations, but all this can be described as panic and fear of the real face of death.

Ask God for wisdom and patience.

It's hard to say how many dozens of people evacuated, the drivers went smoothly in all areas of the field-Krasnoarmeysk, snowy, Dzerzhinsk, Svyatogorsk, BERDYANSK.

There are stories that require special attention. Today brother Igor Mazhuga, if not a feat, then desperately fought for the rescue of a man and a woman with three children. Village of Spartacus, is now in an area of active fighting, people sit in basements and bomboubežiŝam, city transport does not move, since any vehicle become a target for destruction.

The hotline, managed by many, but not many dared to climb out of the cellar, and leave the area only had the courage to attack Igor. To escape he never got, roads closed from all sides. Mazhuga, despite the risk of running into a mine, as close as possible to the place of evacuation pulled up, and a young father with three children-7 months, 3 and 2 years, and with his wife and their belongings on foot for about 5 km, walked through the planting and road that would go beyond the perimeter of the fire and sit down in the car.

They are now in Donetsk, spend the night in one family, and tomorrow morning they will be transferred to the Berdnâsk. Dozens of families, and we are doing everything we can to help people. Everyone participating in this process than the one who donates the time, someone with money, who's a personal auto and new gray hair, risked life, health, the hero of your own fears.

We already have a gathering place in Donetsk for evacuation is near the Central Palace of weddings, tomorrow it will be sent three buses to the displaced. And judging from the situation in Donetsk, there will be less work. Battles with the suburbs of Donetsk, slowly but surely move to the Center, the DNI flee, leaving the mercenaries, and the separatists' ideological as human shields for departing, and civilians have become hostages of this insane war.

We will continue.

I am having a hard time understanding this in a prayer request I received for Rev. Kosyak and for the 29 people at a Christian rehabilitation center who were held hostage and then later released:

...”many evangelicals in the region refuse to take up weapons on principle, and some congregations have been very public about the fact that they are praying for unity in Ukraine.”

Why don’t they defend themselves and their families?

Unity with whom?

I’m trying to understand what it means.

His church was in ministry BEFORE Russia invaded Ukraine. I have witnessed the struggle of these Ukrainian Christians to devide to pick u pa weapon or not. Basically, the decision was for each to decide for themselves without criticism: but either way to serve. Some Christians take up weapons. Others care for the fallen or meet humanitarian requests for food, medical care or assist refugees. They serve others & pray for the unity with recognition of Ukraine & pray for peace

Thanks for explaining; it makes sense to me now.

The LORD looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men;
From His dwelling place He looks out
On all the inhabitants of the earth,
He who fashions the hearts of them all,
He who understands all their works.

The king is not saved by a mighty army;
A warrior is not delivered by great strength.
A horse is a false hope for victory;
Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope for His lovingkindness,
To deliver their soul from death,
And to keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waits for the LORD;
He is our help and our shield.
For our heart rejoices in Him,
Because we trust in His holy name.

Let Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us,
According as we have hoped in Thee.

Ps. 33:13-22
