370 continued to send data for at least five hours after it disappeared from radar. One would think in that period of time efforts would have been made to determine its whereabouts. Especially after the transponders had shut down and 239 people had just disappeared from radar. Took over 2 months just to release the satellite data.

At the very best, incompetence all the way around.

I can’t disagree about the incompetence, but, still, 370 was over a very different part of the world, and procedures were not in place...
