Using Facebook, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz responded to a Sunday night episode of HBO's "True Blood." The show revolved around a vampire bloodbath at a fictional Ted Cruz fundraising event held at the George W. Bush Presidential Library. The episode is laced with insults aimed at the GOP and coins the term "Republi-cunt."
Cruz labeled the episode "misogynist and profanity-ridden" and then added that he was surprised "HBO is suggesting that hard-core leftists are blood-sucking fiends...."
Of all the places I never thought to be mentioned, HBO's True Blood vampire show would have to be near the top of the list. Sunday night, they aired a misogynist and profanity-ridden episode where Texas Republicans are murdered attending a "Ted Cruz fundraiser."
Well, I'm sorry to have lost the vampire vote, but am astonished (and amused) that HBO is suggesting that hard-core leftists are blood-sucking fiends....
Tuesday morning Breitbart News reported that HBO apparently tried to sucker former-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin into appearing on the show.

This is actually why the GOP needs to win the Senate majority this Fall.
Imagine Ted Cruz being able to chair hearings on the matter. Put together a witness list that includes experts who will testify that this sort of nonsense incites political violence. Read into the record how the political violence (and school shootings) since Oklahoma City have been committed almost exclusively by Liberals/Democrats.
Then subpoena the writers and producers to respond. Actually, make them sit in the committee room when the experts call them out for having blood on their hands.

Rome was a good show which I still watch. Sopranos is over rated and boring. The best show they ever did was “Earth to the Moon” which was super.
and remember how palin got so much flack for talking about “targeting” liberal districts.
When there were assassination movies on bush, the “machete kills” movie where they killed republicans and now this.

This is why I largely stick to old TV shows when I watch any TV (The High Chaparral, The Saint, The Andy Griffith Show, etc.).

Adam Baldwin No relation to Alec or Steven. Played Animal Mother in Platoon and Jayne on the Firefly series. He’s solidly conservative but says it wasn’t always so.

I have a real problem with any word that is gender related, where there exists no equivalent word when it comes to the opposite sex. And lest anyone be confused, I only consider there to be two sexes.

I think the C word is pretty unconscionable. HBO has the distinct ability to come up with plot lines I simply refuse to watch.
I’m a sixty-three year old man who’s heard all sorts of language. I’ve actually used a lot of off-color language. I’ve seen and heard a lot of things. HBO is offensive to me. I can’t watch their own in-house productions.

Evidently ‘loathsome’ was coined around 1250 to 1300. When it was coined, it was certainly meant to cover behavior that HBO uses to develop and produce it’s bread and butter products.

I’ve seen folks try to explain why watching makes sense. I watch my share of violent and despicable video content, so I’m no saint. I won’t sign on to watching a series where week after week, it’s just as anti normal decency as it can get.
There’s no redeeming value that can explain away our duty to shun certain things, IMO.

As for the tv show "True Blood"- tried watching it a couple of times, but changed channels after just a few minutes. Even with consideration that it's a show about vampires, what I saw was just over-the-top sick and dark, didn't like it at all.
On another point-This show offers more evidence that CDS (Cruz Derangement Syndrome ) is in full effect.
It's like comparing politician to prostitutes; the problem is that you have to turn right around and apologize to them.
