(Bleep): Ted Cruz Rips HBO Over 'Misogynist' 'True Blood' Episode
Breitbart ^ | 22 Jul 2014 | John Nolte

Using Facebook, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz responded to a Sunday night episode of HBO's "True Blood." The show revolved around a vampire bloodbath at a fictional Ted Cruz fundraising event held at the George W. Bush Presidential Library. The episode is laced with insults aimed at the GOP and coins the term "Republi-cunt."

Cruz labeled the episode "misogynist and profanity-ridden" and then added that he was surprised "HBO is suggesting that hard-core leftists are blood-sucking fiends...."

Of all the places I never thought to be mentioned, HBO's True Blood vampire show would have to be near the top of the list. Sunday night, they aired a misogynist and profanity-ridden episode where Texas Republicans are murdered attending a "Ted Cruz fundraiser."

Well, I'm sorry to have lost the vampire vote, but am astonished (and amused) that HBO is suggesting that hard-core leftists are blood-sucking fiends....

Tuesday morning Breitbart News reported that HBO apparently tried to sucker former-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin into appearing on the show.

Yes, we once used the word, sex, when referring to male or female human beings while reserving the word, gender, for plants and terms in Latin languages. Linguistic activism is a related but rather voluminous topic.

I agree that although many of us have used foul language more often privately, avoiding use of it in public discussions better helps to leave us with the opportunity to improve ourselves by avoiding it more in other venues. That’s why idealistic behaviors in mass media were the better way to go.

There’s a word that may be older and more often appropriately used than misogyny, by the way. The word is misogamy.

I haven’t watched television for more than ten years except for an occasional video from it (occasional news, the rare suggested selections and the like). When I canceled the satellite subscription, even Fox News was broadcasting pathologies too much.

Thank for your comments. I hadn’t heard of Misogamy before. I’m not a big fan of the concept. It does express clearly a phobia that men are developing in mass. I think women are signing on to the fear as well.

Since families are the cornerstone of the nation, I think it’s acceptance is very troubling.

Just require photo ID to vote. Vampires don’t show up in photos so they can’t get an ID and therefore can’t vote!

The whole vampire obsession is stupid if you ask me.

On the meaning of misogamy and its historical longevity in the West.

"By law, public sentiment, and religion,–from the time of Moses down to the present day,–woman has never been thought of other than as a piece of property, to be disposed of at the will and pleasure of man. And at this very hour, by our statute books, by our (so-called) enlightened Christian civilization, she has no voice whatever in saying what shall be the basis of the relation. She must accept marriage as man proffers it, or not at all." [Susan B. Anthony, arguing in favor of liberalizing divorce law. CHAPTER XIV. VIEWS ON MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE. Eighty Years And More: Reminiscences 1815-1897 (1898) by Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Initial text entry and proof-reading of this chapter were the work of volunteers Teresa McEachern and Mary Mark Ockerbloom. A Celebration of Women Writers: Mary Mark Ockerbloom, Editor. University of Pennsylvania. Accessed 23JUL14. http://digital.library.upenn.edu/women/stanton/years/years-XIV.html]

Since then, many laws and policies have been enacted to prevent common families from remaining intact or rising to compete in business.

"I can never understand why intelligent girls should want to marry fools just to get married. Many are willing to do so. But I am not." (Susan B. Anthony as quoted in an English program and anti-marriage, anti-business-competition propaganda effort for foreign nations by Voice of America, many copies around the Net, mostly on sites for Asians).

Thanks for the posts. Pretty much lays it out there doesn’t it, what the feminist movement was all about.
