Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg flew to Israel on Tuesday in protest of the Federation Aviation Administration's decision to halt American flights to and from the country.
On his twitter account, Bloomberg wrote "This evening I will be flying on El Al to Tel Aviv to demonstrate that it is safe to fly in and out of Israel."
In a statement on his website, Bloomberg also said that " The flight restrictions are a mistake that hands Hamas an undeserved victory and should be lifted immediately."
It is unknown when Bloomberg is expected to land in Israel and what his itinerary will be.
Obama don’t care.
Obama stands with the terrorists.
somebody forgot to tell Bloomers that American Airlines aint EL AL security wise
oh well
GOOOOOOOOD.
did Continental quit flying to TLV out of Newark?
still have a stash of mile with them from
a past job..
Perhaps he’ll take HAMAS AIRWAYS on the way home......
For how he ruined my life and that of thousands of other teachers, I hope so. I don’t care how much philanthropy he did. His donations do not in any way make up for his sins. You can’t buy your way into Heaven.
For once, Props to Mayor Bloomberg.
Would have thought him to be a self loathing type. ..
There is a special place in HELL for Tyrants.. COUNT on it!!
Flying El Al no doubt. Safest airline in the world.
Bloomberg, I considered you utter scum. This move makes me think you may just be scummy.
Nah. This just shows his sociopathic narcissism. He wants to fly to Israel, no matter how risky. But nobody should have be able to buy a Big Gulp.
For somebody who supports Big Gov getting into our lives, he should just bend over and take it when Big Gov interferes with his life.
OK, he is capable of doing one good thing
Bloomberg was responsible for extending the definition of "corporal punishment" to not only physically hitting a student, but "making them feel nervous or afraid" by yelling at them. Teachers were now called up on charges with a possibility of termination for raising their voice in a classroom. And making the students feel "afraid or nervous". So all a kid has to do now is claim that this happened, or that the teacher touched them in an inappropriate manner or said something sexual or racial or whatever to them and voila! The teacher is up on charges, even if they never said or did anything wrong at all.
So students tell teachers now, "Shut the f___ up b___h or I gonna get you fired." They've even produced Youtube videos on exactly how to write a statement using all the right buzzwords for the most harm to the teacher, meant for their fellow students to view and use. Absolutely heinous! And the students are ALWAYS believed over the teachers, always.
How is one to maintain discipline in a classroom with this, I'd like to know. It's exactly like putting a loaded pistol into a 5 year old's hand. The present day high school students I've encountered, with very few exceptions, are extremely immature and irresponsible for their age, way too irresponsible to be handed power like this. They are incapable of connecting actions with consequences. There's always an excuse for why they failed to do something they were assigned. It's never their fault. It's the TEACHER'S fault. Every time.
There's only so much of this garbage that any human can put up with. Politicians sticking their (lib) noses where they don't belong have brought about the destruction of the NYC public school system, once a great one. And the current blatant Communist mayor has just announced that he feels that there's too many successful Asian students in the very few elite high schools left (entrance by exam only), and he'd like to open it up to more black students by dumbing down the entrance exam. You can kiss those schools good-bye. I've seen what happens when this is done, how formerly great high schools known for their academics have been turned into ghetto high schools when they experienced a large influx of ghetto black students fresh from ruining their own school and causing its closure.
Let's not forget the extremely punitive new evaluation system that half or more of the administration don't themselves understand, and the imposition of Commie Core standards.
Can hardly wait to get a few more years in and get AWAY from this madness!
All that takes is a plane ticket. When he had the power to influence events, he chose to be a gun-grabber, sticking his nose into the struggles of other states and cities. Safe trip, drama queen.
It’s exactly like putting a loaded pistol into a 5 year old’s hand. .
My prayers for your safety and eventual peaceful retirement
“For once, Props to Mayor Bloomberg.”
With serious internal conflict, I reluctantly, but completely agree.
In other news: Bloomberg will visit South Chicago at 3:00 a.m. and use an ATM without bodyguards. Then he will visit Mexico and openly state that the cartel leaders are cowards while he is hiking in the woods (again, without bodyguards).
