President Obama’s latest boast: I don’t learn anything from watching the news
Washington Times ^ | 07/23/2014 | Dave Boyer

In scandal after scandal in the Obama administration, President Obama has said he didn’t know about the problems until he heard it on the news.

But the president changed his tune about his supposed ignorance at a Democratic fundraiser near Seattle on Tuesday night.

Mr. Obama told supporters that he doesn’t watch the news because, “Whatever they’re reporting about, usually I know.”

That contrasts with the explanations that the president and his aides have given from scandals in the past few years ranging from long wait times and deaths at the VA, to the IRS targeting tea party groups, to the Fast and Furious gun-running operation, and the Department of Justice spying on news reporters.

In each of those cases, Mr. Obama or his aides have said the president learned about the scandals from news reports.

Apparently 0bama missed the news reports of him saying that he learned of F&F, the IRS scandal and several other stories by watching the news.

the omnipotent Zero

but that still doesn’t stop Josh Earnest from saying the White House just learned about things on the daily news

I think zero is going to have a hard time adjusting to civilian life and reality 2 years from now when his mini-god-dom is over.

He learned it all in the faculty room at Harvard.

Rush played a montage of Obama saying that he learned about his administration’s multiple scandals by reading about them in the news, including as late as last May. Now he says he doesn’t read the news.

BTW, remember how the media reacted when Dubya said he didn’t need to read the NY Times? You would have thought he was being locked in a cave and spoon fed all his info by Dick Cheney.

They called George Bush ‘strangely incurious” about the rest of the world. That is but one label that applies to Obumbles.

"I don’t learn anything from watching the news"

I totally could buy this. I don't learn anything from watching the news, either.

BO should surf FR more. He'd be better informed.

He’s the President of the US, he’s supposed to be making news not watching news.

He really doesn’t get it.

Heard that. Scandal after scandal it was all ‘news to us.’
“We found out about it when you guys reported it.”

He just knows the MSM won’t call him on the b.s.

Obama’s a effing liar. I didn’t learn that from watching the news.

I learned it by watching his lips move.

That directly contradicts his claims to have first heard about various scandals in his administration “on the news, just like everyone else”.
