They aren't angry or upset at anything this guy did. I can just hear the conversation with the candidate as he explains why they had to suspend him from the campaign, not fire him:
"Look...it isn't that we agree or disagree with anything you said or wrote, it is just that it makes us look bad." These people disgust me.
