The GOPers are doing everything they can to piss off the conservative base and ensure this doesn’t happen. I believe we are going to lose enough “safe” seats in the senate to allow the Dems to maintain control.

With Republicans on track to nominate a credible candidate in Georgia, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell avoiding a tough primary in Kentucky, and Sen. Thad Cochran renominated in Mississippi, it's looking less likely that Democrats can pick off a stray Republican-held seat. It's a rosy Republican future, questionable conservative one.
