President Barack Obama has sent a team to Texas to assess whether a U.S. National Guard deployment would help to handle an immigration crisis at the Mexican border, White House officials told Reuters on Wednesday, having so far resisted Republican calls for such a move.

The team, made up of officials from the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security, departed on Tuesday and will be on the ground through Thursday.

So the federal government sends a team to a state to assess if the governor of that state has made the right assessment that the national guard is needed?

I thought our CIC was supposed to protect our borders. All of our borders.

Obama, that paragon of courage, always leading from behind. Can you tell this guy never had a father?

“Obama, that paragon of courage, always leading from behind”

he isn’t going to assess the need for the national guard. he has sent his lackeys to confirm that there is no need for the national guard, but just give him that $3.7B he asked for and all will be well.

Can’t be bothered to do anything, just keeps stalling. But when somebody else finally takes action, he mobilizes that second-guessing team on a moment’s notice.

No mention of the political makeup of the “team” of “Officials”.

Certainly there won’t be any bias in their reports to the President. /s

Just hope they don't cross paths with JimRob in RGV!

The team will come to the conclusion that Natl Guard deployment would be of no benefit. Mark my words.

(in the meantime, queue circus music)

“have State’s rights completely disappeared?”

States rights? We are in the middle of having our National Soverignity handed over to the United Nations. The UN is running things on the border, and they won’t stop there. I wish we could worry about States Rights, we are losing our National Rights!

That’s what this charade is all about, and Jarret-Soros and their cute little teleprompter-reader have planned every last bit of it.

Do they know that the drug smugglers shot at the Border Patrol at the Rio Grande today?

They may see more action than they expect.

when the Feds are using federal contractors (GS4 based out if Jupiter, FL) to fly and bus illegals to the border the redistribute them all over the nation do you think they’d agree with the National Guard guarding our borders? Of course not. They’ll issue BS orders to keep citizens from interfering with Feds new amnesty program. Mark my words.

Just like the BP Gulf Oil disaster, Obama waits until the damage is irreversible before taking any action, and that action is solely to achieve a political goal, not actually solve the problem.

I don't think he had a mother, I believe a crow laid him on a fence post.
