The National Hockey League (NHL) has announced a partnership with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to promote climate hysteria.
The NHL “says it's confronting climate change to help ensure ice hockey’s long-term survival. 'We need winter weather,' NHL commissioner, Gary Bettman, said in a statement Monday. 'We have a vested interest in this cause.'”

I totally agree...as a huge hockey fan I think there is no doubt that the season is way too long. I believe the long grind reduces the player’s health by exposing them to more injuries, etc. This is a great opportunity to tell that d-bag bettman that not only is he just greedy for stretching out the playoffs for more revenue...he is also killing the planet.

And the NHL has followed other sports in stretching out the season far beyond winter. The Stanley Cup finals are played in June. Game 7 if it goes the full 7 games in played in mid-June.
Yes, the weather outside has nothing to do with how the NHL operates. This is horse blank coming out of his mouth.
If anything, NHL has a bigger carbon footprint than it would if they ended the season earlier. They have to keep that ice frozen and arenas air conditioned during warm weather outside as they play their game on the ice.
Ban refrigerant for hockey rinks. That should fix the problem. They didn’t want to be called racist for team names and the lack of black players. Wimping of Hockey.

I agree. This is one more business I will never do business with, course I never did anyway. Won’t be long till I run out of businesses to boycott and be reduced to fried dog food and playing solitary for entertainment.
