“Do you know who I am?”
Doesn’t JFnK ever have to be wanded, scanned, searched, or irradiated like the rest of us? He might be a bit less cordial towards Islam if he did.
While I enjoy the idea of our aristocracy being humbled, it’s the idea of why which is humiliating. The reason people are screened for metallic objects is for security. By screening Kerry, the Egyptians basically said “Our trust for the US is so low, we think the US Secretary of State may attack us in person”.
It’s delicious to think of how irked Kerry was (is) about this but it’s still a humiliation.
I don't know if they're laughing, since this administration given its way much longer could cause the end of global civilization. I suspect they've decided to do things when no one from the administration is around to interfere.
If I had any respect for the administration, I'd think the humiliation is another situation. (you can't humiliate the malignant DC crowd...they do it to themselves) That would be the Pope and the Italian gov doing the diplomacy to get that Christian woman out of Sudan. Kerry is epic failing in Egypt and Obama is fund raising on the west coast while the released family is meeting with the Pope.
And still no military medals were found on him.
The fact that skerry exists should be a reason for his never-ending humiliation. What a complete putz...and traitor.
Per Billthedrill's comment, I would add, "Nothing".
except the humiliation is also ours....Not me Kemosabe. They should have strip searched him full view of every passenger in the airport/lobby and subjected his whole entourage to the same.
Dear Lord, next thing you know Kerry will be forced to eat food not flown in from upscale caterers, in favor of food that ordinary people eat. Do the horrors ever end?
