The suspects – Derick Davis II, 23, of 2429 Scots Pine Crossing, Durham, and Troy Arrington Jr., 27, of 128 Johnson St., Apt. 5, Chapel Hill – were charged in the incident. They allegedly hit Liu in the head with a landscaping rock, authorities said.

Davis has multiple convictions for felony breaking and entering and larceny, dating back to 2007, in Durham County, according to state Department of Corrections records. He was released from supervised parole June 30, records show.

Arrington previously was convicted of drug, assault and firearm-related charges, records show. He was released in November 2012 from the Durham County Jail after serving 20 months for possession of a firearm by a felon, records show.

Arrington also has an Aug. 11 court date in Durham on other charges, including breaking and entering, larceny of a dog, obtaining property by false pretenses, conspiracy and being a habitual felon. Orange County officials said Arrington should have been wearing an electronic ankle monitor, because he is on pre-trial release in connection with the Durham crimes.

Welcome to Chapel Hill. I bet it was the Knockout Game with a wallet nabbed.
Chapel Hill is very liberal and therefore fertile ground for ferals.

They sure it’s just a robbery? Here in the liberal fetid cesspool posing as a city in New york, we had a feral 2 months ago who decided to play knockout with a 68 year old Asian man. When the man fell, the feral then proceeded to stomp him to death then congratulate himself like he just scored a touchdown. It was all caught on CCTV.

This is Mike Adams' school, right? I suppose he'll write a column about this soon enough.

It is sometimes said that whenever anyone is in public they should have a plan to either kill or escape from everyone within sight at all times; seems a little paranoid, but this took place at 1pm on a nicer residential street, so maybe not.

Asians are considered easy targets

They very rarely are armed, they don’t want trouble or want to fight back, and they usually carry more cash as a habit. This victim was clearly a bit older as well.

And now a murder charge will be added to each, shortly after which we are likely to be reading "he was released" and the cycle starts over again.

Counselors were available on campus to help UNC students and faculty cope with the attack on Liu and his death.

Typical liberal victim-speak. I'd rather read that instructors in the proper usage of handguns were brought in, but then there would be outrage, outrage I tell you, if those "eeevil things/people" were brought on campus.
