Trophy is a very heavy system in terms of weight. Probably not coming for choppers soon, but maybe someday.

Also, this idea probably came from David Drake’s Hammer’s Slammers series, written beginning in the 70s. Hovertanks had belts of what was basically claymore mines around them and would automatically fire off a short segment in the closest belt to sweep RPGs and missiles out of the sky prior to them hitting. Trophy sounds like the same thing.

Yeah, reactive ablative armor was around before that was written. He just made it actively fused rather than reactive.

Hamas will soon have their RPG gunners preparing to fire while in the middle of a group of women & children, with lots of video cameras rolling to capture the Israeli “claymores” mowing down “innocent non-combatants”.
