Israel is in a tough spot, they will be spread very thin if the West Bank explodes while they are cleaning out the Gaza. Hamas knows it.
Israel has the means and the desire to finish Gaza, not finishing it means a repeat of this down the road. The next few days will tell us of their decision , pray that they are right.
