Americans are divided in their views of whether Israel's actions against the Palestinian group Hamas is "mostly justified" or "mostly unjustified," but they widely view Hamas' actions as mostly unjustified. Those results are similar to what Gallup measured 12 years ago during another period of heightened Israeli-Palestinian violence, and they are consistent with Americans' generally more positive views of the Israelis than of the Palestinians.

The younger generation is buying into the enemies if Israel’s propaganda that it’s all Israel’s faultl. That generation doesn’t have the historical background and perspective that the older people have!

The Progressive left hates Israel because Israel is strong, the people are strong, smart and industrious. The left sees that as an unfair, unequal power distribution and the result of western White man’s imperialistic interference.
The progressive left would like to see the Middle East returned to the way it was before White capitalists discovered the dreaded oil, back to the days of Mohammed. They feel very much the same about the so called, Native Americans, they would like to return rural America to them.
I don't even bother to take a look when I hear about some young Western 'One-World' idiot idealists abducted by primitive hostiles when doing something as reckless as backpacking through a conflict zone. Let 'em Twitter their way out of it, I say.
