I don’t understand why you are making fun of the elite SWAT team. They just knew there is a threat on the plane, didn’t know who — what would you have them do, ask politely, “Could the terrorist please raise his hand”?

The terrorist was subdued over West Virginia. The situation was under control of a competent flight crew. These idiots had the time it takes to fly from West Virginia back to Canada to get their act together. Instead, they opted for fascist theater, doubtless to prove they have same amount of testosterone as their big brother pigs south of the border.

Because a SWAT team is a dynamic entry team and represents significant danger to everyone on the plane who is NOT making threats.
Everyone on the plane is already contained so they sure aren’t going to bomb Canada from there.
9/11 is not justification for everything some thug on steroids wants to do with his taxpayer funded toys.
If I was on a flight headed anywhere & a threat was made, I would be praying for SWAT (or any other agency) to come through the door with as much fire power as they could carry. I would not give a flyin’ you-know-what how many times I heard “Hands up, heads down!”
