I’m pretty sure being turned back toward Mexico in the middle of the river or on dry land shy of the US does not violate any civil rights-so as long as that happens, I don’t see a problem-once their toes are back in Mexico, it is no longer our concern...

That is a legal issue for sure. Essentially the southern US/Texas border is the middle
of the Rio Grande in most places. It may vary somewhat in the major lakes, etc.
