The media will energize the Democrat base no matter what the Republicans do.
The Republicans can energize their base only if they(the Republicans) do the right thing.
Do you actually believe Obama would be removed from office if he’s impeached? I sure hope you don’t think so. It would only be for show — a show the demos would love. It would just an opportunity to the media to make republicans look like clowns (the ones the media would pick to be on the news every night are clowns).
