Some churches get subsidies from the government and are asked to hlp by them (nothing’s or free.)
Some churches just want their names in the news.
Some churches think they’re doing the right thing but seem to lack discernment.
I’ve been expecting my parish priest to mention it. Nothing so far. We’re more interested in getting a warranty for our new roof after raising the six figures to replace it.

Just a few blocks over from my house there’s a “barrio” street. At the end of the street there are at least 4 cars for every house. First of all, the HOA rules puts a limit at 3 cars. Second, it’s obvious multiple families are living in single family dwellings. And I’d bet they are illegal. I’m contacting the HOA tomorrow. These houses are no more than 3 years old. We knew the neighborhood would be destroyed when KB Homes started building.
There was a house just a few doors down that had two Mexican families move in. They built a stud wall right behind the garage door and turned the garage into a room. I reported them. It took a long time but they finally made one of the families move out. Now I noticed last night they’ve all moved out. I would guess the first family couldn’t afford it without the other family’s income. There’s no “for sale” sign so it may have gone into foreclosure.
Fine.

Jesus said not to cast pearls to swine or what is holy to dogs the churches that are assisting are not using good judgment. He said this for a reason. If they read The Word they’d understand this. The illegals are being used as a tool and feel entitled to it without having the spirit of thankfulness in them.
