Prediction: In 10 years, it’ll be illegal to spank your kids.

Progressivism’s never-ending zeal to intrude into our lives, bust up families and force us all to march to its grim beat means that yesterday’s absurdity turns into today’s hot topic in lefty opinion magazines turns into tomorrow’s law.

Liberals all know that they deserve spankings so they want all spankings outlawed.

Spankings vs Beatings, not every parent knows the difference or bothers to learn the difference.

Heaven forbid a parent a discipline a child. But if a kid is getting sexually abused and gets pregnant and is forced to get abortions or has “gay” “parents” and suffers sexual abuse, then everything must be done to protect these “parents”.

It is already so in several countries.

Disciplining a child is biblical, so liberals will be against it.

It is already illegal to spank your kids. When you do, the kid can call the cops and turn you in for “beating”. Its your word against there.

And if somebody is beating their kids, they should be held accountable. It doesn’t mean we need to outlaw physical punishment altogether because some parents go over that line.

To listen to today’s teachers about school discipline problems, for example, it’s clear that things have changed from the past. And that today’s teachers have lots of issues now they didn’t have in the past.

Today’s children have been raised in this era of “time outs” rather than ever getting a spanking. And they know that it’s against the law for anyone in school to administer any sort of physical punishment. Result — some kids are out of control, who would stay in line, if only we could administer discipline as we did years ago.

Well, there is no legal definition of Beating vs Spanking. Therein lies the problem. Hitting your child in public is going to draw concern and scrutiny often enough that you just shouldn’t do it.

Alternative forms of punishment to a child say 6 and under is just as traumatic as a classical good fatherly spanking. My daughter hated time out and balled her eyes out when put in time out. My son couldn’t care less about time outs, but putting him on a menu of green vegetables and water only for 3 days got his attention.

By the time they were 10, just a stern talking too would set them straight — never wanted to hit my children as my father thought smacking me so hard he knocked me down, then told me to get up and did it again and thought that was what corporal punishment was.

I don’t think it psychologically scarred me, but I don’t have very fond memories of my father or my mother. But there are other weaker souls out there who are going to be scarred for life from the abuse they took in the name of parental punishment.

There are no union jobs created when spanking / correcting a child; but lots of union jobs as prison guards.

What part of: “not every parent knows the difference” excluded those opposed to spanking?
