Obama: A Country Without Rule of Law 'Will Not Succeed'
breitbart ^ | 7/28/14 | Charlie Spiering

During a town hall meeting at a summit with the Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, President Obama explained to a young African student that to succeed, a burgeoning country required a system of laws.

He explained:

Regardless of the resources a country possesses, regardless of how talented the people are, if you do not have a basic system of rule of law, of respect for civil rights and human rights, if you do not give people a credible, legitimate way to work through the political process to express their aspirations, if you don't respect basic freedom of speech and freedom of assembly … it is very rare for a country to succeed.

Obama made his remarks as critics have denounced his “lawlessness,” particularly through his 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) order, his decision to trade five Taliban detainees at Guantanamo Bay for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, and his controversial Obamacare law.

The Supreme Court recently ruled 9-0 against Obama after his illegal appointments to the National Labor Relations Board.

“I will go further than that: that country will not succeed over the long term,” Obama elaborated. “It may succeed over the short term because it may have natural resources that it can extract, and it can generate enough money to then distribute and create patronage networks. But over time, that country will decline.”

Gee, I guess the operation where they gave President Simba a total lobotomy and replaced his brain with dog squeezins didn't increase his IQ any.

Well, at least he's still alive, and nominally smarter than Joe "Whoops, I Crapped My Mouth" Biden...

This guy is shameless.

He breaks the law almost daily and says this with a straight face?

I'd love to name Rep. Trey Gowdy as U.S. Attorney General. His prime directive: ferret out ALL illegal activities by all the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. This includes all agencies and departments.

Nail all of these scum to the wall and send them to do hard prison time. No slaps on the wrist. Ten to 10 years in the slammer with the loss of all government benefits would put a LOT of fear back into this feral government.

IMHO— He’ll resign, like Nixon, within 9 months. What comes around goes around. Baby-boomer brats ran Nixon out; The Universe is merely holding them to the standard they set 40 years ago.

The 40 year seed that got BHO elected will also work to his disadvantage soon. I predict a resignation by next May. /my two cents.

As an ‘unnamed’ politician and lawyer once said, “There are two Americas.” (imho) the Rule of Law has equally two Americas. There is the Rule of Law of good, humility and equal justice. There is also a second Rule of Law of evil, lies and no justice. America currently has the second Rule of Law.

What stands out to me?

Obama is quick to mention civil rights. Human rights. Rights that can be expanded, redefined by the State, and used to divide people against people (e.g., rights of the child versus the parents kinda thing).

What he does not mention, this "expert" on the law?

PROPERTY RIGHTS

The only nations in history that have sustained stability and demonstrated excellence in scientific innovation, as well as provided for their own people the highest standard of living are those that guarantee property rights.

Jefferson had originally penned "...the right to life, liberty, and property [pursuit of happiness]" and more people should know this.

We have a President who does not understand that property rights form the core of human rights--if the State can't take your property, if you neighbor can't take it--then you are truly free.

All these fluffy do-goody national constitutions the over 180 nation-states have, the wonderful and oft-touted "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" are mere high-sounding WORDS without the backing of a system of accessible courts that will, without bribery and corruption, defend a citizen's right to own property.

Someone should tell Obama this. 'splain it to the Genius.

That is what he planned for us. No “rule of law” because he does not want our country to succeed.

You can keep your doctor.
(the truth was: you can’t keep your doctor)

Benghazi was caused by a video that demeaned Muslims
(The truth was the exact opposite)

Bill Ayers is just a guy in the neighborhood.
(Ayers wrote Obama’s Bbiography (Dreams) and kicked off Obama’s campaign)

Our borders are safe.
(No, their not)

The Rule of Law is important
(not to Obama it’s not... he’s stepping all over and ON the Constitution.)

He never heard Rev. Wright express anti-American ideas.
(Lie, lie, lie - he probably heard it every week)

Law Matters
(this is the most lawless President the country has ever had)

enough money to then distribute and create patronage networks.

there's a reason he said this particular phrase I just can't figure out why right now

it's pure Chicago politics and it's what he practices. He's projecting his actions onto others to predict their failure. The man just shoots ---- out of his --- and thinks he sounds brilliant. No insight on his part whatsoever.
