One of the homeowner-plaintiffs stated he would present a re-surfacing plan to the commissioners that would not require taxes or assessments.
Drive the roads into asphalt chunks, then dirt roads and carriages? Arrest out-of-state football fans this fall for blowing dope, then tell them, “That new law is only for Buff fans, sorry.” and fine them until they’re bowlegged?
What possibly could he propose?

“What possibly could he propose?”

Divert a tiny bit of the 36% of the $370,000,000 annual Boulder County budget used for “sustainability”, “community programs”, and “human services” to chip sealing and resurfacing the roads that Boulder County owns?

Naaaaa.

Yeah, Boulder’s the capitol of the Rocky mountain, the high Hippy Dippy city. I keep remembering them as Big 8.
They must have a thousand oddball groups demanding funding.

Why don’t they tap some of, what must be incredible, wacky tobaccy revenue for the ‘truth-to-power’ CU hippy leisure class, and with the remainder concentrate on doing what local government should be doing, and for people trying to get to work, like roads and street repair. That’s just a rhetorical question btw.
