There you have it. Tuna fish is the province of the Great Unwashed Masses while Raman noodles are the Calcutta of foods.
The denizens inhabiting DC Metro don’t eat McDonald’s or go to Pizza Hut. They scarf down E******** Burgers (organic please) and crusty slurpcious pizzas from tiny Neopolitan-style bistros. They don’t peruse Subways’ breakfast menu.
They would not know how to combine beans and rice with onions and garlic to make a simple tasty nutritious meal nor would they understand how a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread could feed someone well. Simple soups and stews without meat are filling and cheap. All you have to do is cook them.
Some of the denizens did know these things once long, long ago in their lives before their elevation to the Kingdom, but they have forgotten.
The rest have led lives of such extreme privilege, they are completely unfamiliar with boxed mixtures to add to ground beef or what chilimac is.
I straddle both worlds and the difference between the two is staggering.
Interesting comment... thanks for sharing.
