I’m not buying this. If competition is good - which I think it is - and “corporate/research collaboration” is productive of good results - certainly within the realm of possibility - then why is disclosure bad?

It requires excessive oversight and endless paperwork. That’s the sole purpose of most government regulations, BTW.
