I’m just trying to envisage a load of a ‘whole bunch’ of militia trying to take The SAS headquarters in Hereford whilst praying and spraying from their technicals and roaring ‘Alluha Akbar’ the whole way. It requires a heavy suspension of disbelief. The only way I could imagine it happening is if the numbers of militia where so large that there were more individuals within it than the SAS had rounds....
I am reminded of the situation our Delta guys ran into in Mogadishu a few years ago: you can be absolutely the best but when the enemy is suicidal, relentless, and comes in waves, even the best get overrun. Isandlwana and Little Big Horn come to mind too..
