Yep. Apparently they did two takes of that scene, one with Shaw sober, and one with Shaw drunk, and then spliced together the best parts to get the scene we know and love.

My understanding of that scene is that Shaw wasn't able to perform the day the scene was scheduled. Loaded.
The next day he came in with a nasty hangover, but knocked the scene out of the park.
